What does it really mean to capture someone’s life through a lens?
In this episode, we sit down with photographer Sara Stanković to explore the deeper questions behind photography — from the difference between documentary and lifestyle photography to the responsibility that comes with telling someone else’s story.
Our conversation moves beyond the surface as we discuss consent, especially when it comes to children, and the importance of protecting privacy in an age where everything can be shared. Drawing from Sara & Lex’s backgrounds working with CSEC and trafficked persons, we reflect on how those experiences have shaped our perspectives on image-making, ethics, and human dignity.
In this dialogue, we also explore the role of the artist in society — how creatives have historically challenged cultural norms and how that tension shows up in today’s world.
Join us for a thoughtful and nuanced conversation about storytelling, responsibility, and what it means to create with care.
