53. Courtney Summers

Courtney grew up here in the Alice and speaks so lovingly about her childhood and her amazing family who she couldn't speak more highly of. Despite growing up in such a nurturing and supportive environment Courtney struggled with some very serious mental health battles which she speaks so bravely about on this episode. Courtney has turned het own personal battles into her passion and has founded SUMTIMESSAD, a program designed to help others struggling with mental health find a way forward and feel supported. 52. Emily Anyupa Butcher

Huge chat on the ASP with DT Podcast as Emily Anyupa Butcher joins the show for our 52nd episode. This has been in the works since season 1 and it's well worth the wait. Anyupa is a genuine, humble and incredibly thoughtful person who spoke so amazingly well throughout the recording. Anyupa is someone I have admired from afar for so long and to meet her in person and learn more about her and her life was a special experience. 51. Kane Sevallos

Fresh off our big 50th episode celebrations we welcome our next great guest Kane Sevallos onto the ASP with DT Podcast! This guy is genuinely loved by all and the flood of messages and excitement when he was announced as our next guest was a sight to behold. Kane is the life of the party wherever he goes and his smile and laugh have become an iconic part of Alice Springs and more recently Tennant Creek where he is currently residing with his young family. We chat about becoming a father, the negative stigma attached to our town, the impact sports had on Kane as a young man and a stack of ridiculously funny stories from Kanes life so far. Kane is doing great work in TC as a mentor to young people and both Alice Springs and TC need more people like Kane. Kane is super relatable for the young men he works with and appreciative of the role that mentors play in the lives of young people. 50. James Dowler

WE DID IT!! Episdoe 50 is here, nearly 3 years on the making but we have finally made it to the Podcasts first big milestone!! Huge thank you to everyone out there who have supported this side hustle and shown lots of love for the people of ASP. Even bigger shoutout to the great guests who have made the experience so special from day 1. Couldn't have asked for a better guest for the big occasion as James Dowler made his long waited appearance on the show. There's so much I admire and respect about James and how he goes about life. He's incredibly self aware and reflective and through his work is always wanting to be there for people during hard times and also to celebrate there best times. James is a quiet but incredibly personable champion of our town and sitting down with him was an absolute treat and something I took a lot away from. 49. Ed Nicholson

Welcome back! Excited to bring you another episode of The ASP with DT podcast as we are joined by local legend Ed Nicholson for episode 49! Never met Ed properly until this year but have always heard nothing but incredible things about him, can confirm that everything I heard is 100% true. Was great to chat about Eds upbringing and his experiences of being a parent to two very beautiful kids! We also chatted about his passion for music and the excitement around the potential growth in that space. What strikes me most about Ed though is how he cares about people. He always makes time for those in need of a hand and is brilliant at creating lasting, meaningful relationships particularly with student he's taught over the years. In a huge loss for the town Ed and his family are heading back to Melbourne soon and will be dearly missed. Thanks heaps for coming on for a chat Ed, I really enjoyed sitting down for a chin wag and have much respect for you and the way you go about things!
