Or were they simply reporting what they had seen and heard? The earliest Christians did not die for a philosophy - they died claiming they had seen a risen savior. Their message was not “follow this teaching,” but “we saw Him alive.” We’ll examine why theories of legend or conspiracy fail to account for the evidence, and why the rapid spread of Christianity in the first century demands an explanation.
