In this week's episode, we sit down and talk with our friend and UMD student/ journalism major Caroline. We discuss  our favorite Drake albums,  celebrating the 6 year anniversary of  "If You're Reading This It's Too Late", and our top picks from the tape. We also discuss the controversy with Justin Bieber's dreads,  personally connecting with artists who tell real life stories with their music. We also disuss music journalism and the difference between other fields of journalism,  the many challenges, and Caroline's love for music, and her favorite artists.

In this week’s episode, we sit down to talk to DMV-raised artist and old high school friend VHS Jr. and talk about his budding music career as well as his move to Boston. We discuss societal pressures/expectations when it comes to meeting deadlines by a certain age, discovering your passion, and finding your footing. We also discuss our feelings about the George Floyd verdict, Kehlani coming out as a lesbian. In our Lyric Talk segment VHS Jr. breaks down his recent single “Neighbors”, and talks about the deep personal event that inspired it.

Episode 13: Beyond the Lens (featuring Batchatbat)

In this week’s episode, we sit down with friend and DMV photographer/videographer Batchatbat, as he talks about his experience and work as a photographer/videographer, how he got started,  his photography style, and  creative process for shooting.  We touch upon his influences in music and photography. We cover how music videos play a role in how he  gains inspirations for his shoots. We also cover the overabundance of music drops in quantity vs quality when it comes to artists dropping multiple projects in a year.
