The Naked Gun (2025)
We drank enough coffee to stay awake just long enough to finish up with our 2025 year and round of legacy sequels with The Naked Gun. You'll hear which actor we think gets the comedy almost completely wrong as well as which actor is getting the comedy so right we wish everyone was on that page, our chat about the villain and whether or not he's failing the movie or the movie is failing him, and we try to mention all the jokes, here and there, that we think actually work. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Daniel Prudhoe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025)
We continue catching up with the legacy sequels from 2025 and are donning our hot slickers and hats to chat about I Know What You Did Last Summer. You'll hear what we think of the lead actors and characters and why they work for this film, why we think bringing back legacy actors from the original '97 hit was a good idea including the surprise ending that we both liked and how we believe that even when this movie is clumsy, it's not in a way to bother you too much, helping the movie to be an easy watch. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Daniel Prudhoe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
Karate Kid: Legends
We continue catching up with the legacy sequels of 2025 as we slice first and slice hard talking about Karate Kid: Legends. You'll hear the many questions we have about the opening of this film and if Mr. Han is, in fact, the legend Mr. Han we knew from 2010, the positive and negative reactions we had to this movie's time efficiency which oddly helps and hinders the picture and a chat about whether or not the movie got better right before the credits start when we finally see a character that made previous attempts to reengage with this franchise work. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Daniel Prudhoe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
Final Destination: Bloodlines
Hollywood isn't finished with four different series that we've previously covered and our professionalism dictates it's time to take catch up and take care of some business. We start with the first movie released this year and possibly the number one of these films in our hearts with Final Destination: Bloodlines, released just this past May. You'll hear a lengthy conversation about this sequel's opening scene that we simply can't find a way to shut up about, how much respect we heap on the directors and Tony Todd for finding a way to give the veteran actor the perfect sendoff for the series and his life and how much glee we find in the movies refusal to let a single character off the hook from death's steely glare. Enjoy! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Daniel Prudhoe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
A Nightmare on Elm Street Series Pitch a Sequel
It's time to settle the score and pitch some sequels to the cult classic series, A Nightmare on Elm Street! You'll hear that both of your fearless hosts have come in doing their additional homework but have vastly different interpretations of that homework, which of us tried to connect our pitch to modern day technology and which of our pitches connects a reinterpretation of the first film in the series. Let the battle begin! Thanks to our monthly supporters * Matt and Vicki S * Kate Lampe * Daniel Prudhoe * Steve Weiss * Matthew Aldrich * Edward Lankford * Heather Sahami
