Episode Season Three Episode Six “The Promised End” Cover

Season Three Episode Six “The Promised End”

This week, it all comes down to this. Charles is out of the hospital, and wants to do the show. This is complicated by Geoffrey’s forced resignation and the full cancellation of “King Lear” at the festival. Can Geoffrey convince Ellen to return from the world of television acting? Can he put up the show at a clandestine location. And will the cast even show up, given that the Festival could blackball them from working in New Burbage ever again? Meanwhile, Richard searches for a new Artistic Director, but is he about to turn to the Dark Side? Listen in as: We name bands… Insurance adjusting for fun & profit. All Canadian chicks look the same??? Richard is no Howard the Duck. Look out for Big Dick, though you can’t see his nipples. (Apologies if that sentence gets this blocked on your work computer.) Richard is riding high on at very least the reviews of “East Hastings.” The buzz may get killed, however, as the Lear comes to its premiere. Charles is still very erratic, although the heroin still works wonders for him. After an awkward Bolivian music interlude, Geoffrey (on the verge of weeping in public) makes Big Dick go out and cancel the opening. Listen in as… Darcy wants a spanking. Darcy tries “The Pineapple Trick.” Ben learns about TimBits. Ghostlight Podcast Season Three, Episode Three “That Way Madness Lies”

This week in New Burbage, Charles continues to have performance difficulties, and continues to offend or insult pretty much everyone he acts with. Tensions continue between the dramatic and musical companies, but when Paul and Sophie attempt a prank, Paul has a potential change of heart. Inside the rehearsals of “East Hastings,” Richard tries to take initiative, but is initially shut down by Darren. After Richard returns with specific ideas (and a flowchart), Darren reluctantly agrees to try the show with Richard’s tweaks, at least once. Listen as: We deploy the Tangent Bell within the first 90 seconds. We revisit offstage suicides and reporting of them. Paul offers acting career advice, based on hearsay but absolutely no experience… Bonus: Can you spot the word replaced in editing? Ghostlight Podcast Season Three, Episode Two “Vex Not His Ghost”

It’s time for another episode of the Ghostlight Podcast! The New Burbage Festival rehearsal season is in full swing. Charles Kingman fails to endear himself to the rest of the cast of King Lear, & Richard begins attending rehearsals of the new musical “East Hastings.” Meanwhile, Geoffrey seeks out professional counseling to get to the bottom of his weeping and other performance issues. Listen as we discuss: Cast list rabbit holes. Shakespearean verse. The perils of actors and dancers sharing living space.   Con O’Drisceoil wrote the theme song, and you can get a book/CD set that includes his original recording here: http://celticgrooves.homestead.com/CG_Book_ODrisceoil_Spoons.html Or for Brendan Nolan, performer of our theme, go to http://www.brendannolan.com You can always join in the discussion: Follow us on Twitter: twitter.com/ghostlightpc Find us on Facebook: facebook.com/groups/ghostlightpodcast And you can send feedback for any episode, as Paul is the only one who will check these: theghostlightpodcast@gmail.com or Voicemail: 206-309-9389   If you are in Chicago or just have an interest in crowdfunding independent arts, please check out my good friend Lorelei Sturm’s production of “The Yellow Wallpaper” at this link http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/yellow-wallpaper-a-new-theatrical-adaptation-by-the-mill/a1e1 [http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/yellow-wallpaper-a-new-theatrical-adaptation-by-the-mill/a1e1]
