ASD, ADHD and trauma - where is the line? From the perspective of Mark Brayne, a trauma expert with Aspergers

In this episode I sit down with Mark Brayne, an EMDR Europe Accredited and EMDRIA-approved Consultant, workshop leader, specialising in transpersonal, integrative EMDR with a particular focus on early life attachment and formative experience. Mark had an Aspergers diagnosis later in life and he works with clients to heal the past.  It is a big and juicy conversation. We talk about - where is the line between neurodiversity and trauma, or is there even a line at all? - the human species in its quest for survival - will it make it or is it set to implode (the clue might be in the word "survival") - the pros and the cons of a diagnosis - what is the answer?  - the formation of a human and how we grow to see ourselves in the world. And much, much more.  Mark was a journalist for 30 years, gained his Masters in Transpersonal Psychotherapy in 2000, was the Founding Director of the Dart Centre Europe for Journalism and Trauma and was also a Board member of the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.  For the past 25 years, Mark has contributed workshops and keynote addresses to conferences including the ISTSS and ESTSS, the BACP, the EMDR Associating UK and the Parnell Institute US. The Magic of Surrendering; even in - especially in - the more challenging real life situations

I love sharing tips and tools that exponentially enhance our lives as humans. In this episode I talk about the age old question of “who am I” - but not from a philosophical standpoint.
