Daniel & David get together this week to analyse what has actually been quite a few busy weeks in tech. Samsung, with ANOTHER launch, have thrown out the Galaxy Z TriFold, and the boys discussed the viability of a phone that unfolds into an actual tablet. This then prompted David to discuss what the actual point is of tablets and, more specifically, iPads.    Attention turned pretty sharply towards YouTube, as big news out of Australia is that the government has BLOCKED & BANNED all social media for under-16s in a crackdown on cyberbullying and targeted algorithms. Why thin phones are DEAD | Ep 98

The boys are back as a trio this week, with Alex making his return. The chat kicks off strong with the inquisition over why thin phones never took off. With rumours of Apple scaling back the iPhone Air and Samsung delaying (or cancelling) the S26 Edge, the boys discuss what has led to this and what would need to change for them to be successful.   Alex has some new phone hardware to talk about with Honor & Oppo devices on deck, whilst David highlights Apple focusing on services and how it is a sound business strategy.   The strongest views of the night (pun intended) comes from the YouTube chat. It is becoming more and more prominent that to win in the space of YouTube, you have to game the system with bought views. Brands, however, are slowly cluing on to what is happening and becoming aware of the fraud taking place. Chat kicks off with iPhone 17 Pro camera issues, with Alex, Daniel & Matt all experiencing an issue with the new 4x telephoto camera on the 17 Pro.   One UI 8.5 has leaked out, and Daniel talks to us about how the build has leaked and also what changes Samsung are making (including some very iOS-like customisation features for the Quick Panel).   David brings up content creation rigs using a smartphone, and at one point, should you just buy a camera instead of using a phone? Samsung Fanboy switches to iPhone 17 Pro Max! What's the verdict? | Ep 95

This is the week you've been waiting for. A lifelong Samsung fanboy has switched to iPhone and is ready to talk about it.   This week, the boys begin the chat with the obvious, Daniel's switch to iPhone. David has been watching his content and is picking his brain about what it's been like for him. Daniel, to be fair, has been fair to the iPhone (after the initial pain of switching) and highlights where he thinks the fundamental difference lies between Samsung & Apple.   Alex (initially joining from his car) offers insights into the iPhone’s camera setup up and David has been using the iPhone Air out and about to put the battery life through its paces.   iPhone & Apple chat continues, and both David & Alex ask Daniel for insights into life as an iPhone user for the first time ever.
