Robeson looms large in the history of many progressive movements through the 20th century, but because of his politics and his commitment to his ideals, he has been cast aside. We at PAIL believe Robeson is a figure that all Americans should embrace as we face new crises in our time and we hope this project serves a role in reviving and celebrating the ideas and movements he championed. Jahan is an educator with the Saturday Free School for Philosophy and Black Liberation, and is also a scholar specializing in figures such as Robeson and WEB DuBois. The Ukraine Conflict w/ Daniel Kovalik

Nick, from the Pittsburgh Anti-Imperialist League, sits down with fellow member, Dan Kovalik, to discuss the Ukraine Conflict, it's origins, it's implications on the global economy and geo-politics, and where this situation is heading. Dan recently returned from Russia and the Donbas, so is able to provide a unique, eye-witness perspective to this conflict Dan teaches International Human Rights at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and is also the author of multiple books, including No More War and the recently released Nicaragua: A History of US Intervention and Resistance.    This episode will serve as the companion to Dan’s March 11th talk at the Pittsburgh Liberation Center titled:  The Ukraine Conflict: How We Got Here, And Where We Are Going.
