Episode Finally Becoming a Man Nobody Taught Us How to Be Men Cover

Finally Becoming a Man Nobody Taught Us How to Be Men

In this episode, I want to have a conversation with men but I also want the women listening to stay present. Because if you’ve ever loved a man, been raised by one, are raising one, or are simply trying to understand one, this conversation is for you too. We’re not talking about a masculinity crisis. We’re talking about an emotional maturity crisis. For generations, boys were taught how to survive how to work, compete, provide, and protect but very few were ever taught how to understand themselves. We were told to “man up,” “be strong,” and “figure it out,” but rarely taught how to process emotions, communicate pain, or sit with ourselves in truth. And somewhere along the way, survival got mistaken for manhood. This episode challenges that. We explore what it really means to become a man not through suppression or performance, but through consciousness, responsibility, and emotional maturity. We talk about the inner child that never leaves us, how it shapes our adult reactions, and how those patterns quietly show up in our relationships, our triggers, and our identity. We go deeper into how relationships don’t create our wounds they reveal them. And how moments of conflict often become mirrors that show us who we still are underneath who we thought we became. From there, we redefine masculinity as stewardship not control. Stewardship of your mind, emotions, body, relationships, purpose, and integrity. The ability to pause before reacting, own your truth without excuses, communicate instead of shutting down, and lead your life with awareness instead of impulse. And ultimately, we arrive at emotional maturity not as perfection, but as presence, responsibility, and a commitment to keep becoming. This episode is a reminder that no one is coming to do this work for us. We either choose it or we repeat it. And if this conversation resonates, I also share The Aligned Waya space designed to help you actually live these principles through daily practice, reflection, and inner work. Because transformation doesn’t come from listening. It comes from becoming. Come for the Truth. Stay for the Brotherhood. Episode Between Two Worlds | ft. Manny Peña Cover

Between Two Worlds | ft. Manny Peña

What happens when the lessons that helped our parents survive aren’t enough to help us truly live? In this episode of The Brotherhood Podcast, Raul Peguero sits down with longtime friend and brother Manny Peña for a conversation about identity, culture, manhood, and the realities of growing up between two worlds. From Dominican households and New York roots to the pressures of adulthood, relationships, purpose, and legacy, Raul and Manny explore what it means to honor where we come from while becoming our own men. Together, they discuss: * Growing up in Dominican families and the values that shaped them * The difference between surviving and truly living * The lessons they had to learn on their own * Communication, purpose, identity, and emotional growth * The struggles men often face but rarely talk about * What they want to pass down to the next generation * How to honor your parents without losing yourself This episode is for anyone who has ever felt caught between tradition and individuality, culture and reality, or who is still learning how to build a life beyond survival. Because maybe our parents gave us everything they could but it's our responsibility to build on that foundation and leave something even better for those who come after us. 🎙️ The Brotherhood Podcast Come for the truth. Stay for the brotherhood.

Episode Being Needed vs Being at Peace Cover

Being Needed vs Being at Peace

In this episode of The Brotherhood Podcast, Raul dives into a truth a lot of men feel but rarely have the language for the difference between being needed and being at peace. For many men, identity is built early around being the provider, the fixer, the one who holds everything together. Over time, that role becomes so familiar that it starts to feel like who we are. But somewhere along the way, we can lose touch with something deeper ourselves. This conversation isn’t about stepping away from responsibility. It’s about questioning whether we’ve been confusing usefulness with fulfillment and whether our sense of worth is tied more to what we do for others than what actually brings us peace. I also break down how life will often bring us back into familiar situations not as punishment, but as a test. A test to see if we’ve really changed or if we’ve just become more aware of our patterns without actually breaking them. Although this episode speaks directly from a man’s perspective, this message is not limited to men. Many women will also see themselves in this pattern of over-responsibility, self-sacrifice, and losing identity in being needed. At the end of the day, the real question isn’t just what are you responsible for. It’s whether you’re actually living or just being useful in your life. Come for the truth, Stay for the Brotherhood.

Episode What Happens When Love Turns Into Interpretation Cover

What Happens When Love Turns Into Interpretation

In this episode, we explore how resentment quietly builds inside relationships until it begins to reshape how we see the person we once loved. What starts as everyday stress, unspoken expectations, and emotional exhaustion can slowly turn into something deeper where both people begin to experience the same relationship in completely different ways. One person may feel like they’re trying, showing up, and carrying responsibility, while the other feels unseen, unsupported, and alone. Over time, love can shift into interpretation, and interpretation can shift into identity. Actions are no longer just actions they become symbols. Effort is no longer just effort it becomes questioned. And without realizing it, couples can begin rewriting each other through pain, silence, and unmet emotional needs. This episode isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness. It’s about understanding how easily communication breaks down, how resentment distorts perception, and how important it is to speak before emotional distance becomes identity. Because sometimes the biggest loss in a relationship isn’t the ending it’s realizing you were never fully seen the way you thought you were. Stay for the brotherhood, come for the truth.
