Rabblecast 663 - Movie Trivia, Batman: The Caped Crusader, More Deadpool and Wolverine Talk

*Show Note: This episode was originally recorded on August 8, 2024. We start off the show with a little movie trivia. What movie opened in August of 1986? We get into the answer and we also talk about movie trivia in the work place as an ice breaker of sorts. From there, we jump into the recent release of, Batman: The Caped Crusader on Amazon Prime Video. Headed up by Showrunner, Bruce Timm (who previously worked on Batman: The Animated Series) along with Producers, J. J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, Ed Brubaker, and James Tucker. The show, developed by Warner Bros. Animated but licensed to Amazon Prime Video depicts a re-imagined Gotham City with The Batman early in his crime fighting career. We also get in some more Deadpool and Wolverine talk as Doug got a chance to watch the film and we get to hear his take on it. All of this and so much more! We are The Rabblecast!

*Show Note: This episode was originally recorded on August 1, 2024. On this episode, we talk about the recent theater release of, Deadpool and Wolverine. After a recent string of misses in the Marvel Cinematic Universe from Disney we get a breath of fresh air mixed with comedy, action, and fan service. Did you catch Deadpool and Wolverine in the theaters? We also go over some of the announcements from San Diego Comic Con and Marvel's Hall H panel. New titles have been added to their release slate with The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Avengers: Doomsday, and Avengers: Secret War. Oh, and Robert Downey Jr. will be returning as the MCU's, Doctor Doom. There is also some brief news of AEW President, Tony Kahn meeting with Shane McMahon. We recently lost Shannon Doherty (American actress known for her work in Heathers (1989); Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990–1994), Mallrats (1995); and Charmed (1998–2001)), Dr. Ruth Westheimer (German and American sex therapist and talk show host.), Richard Simmons (American fitness instructor and television personality.), Bob Newhart (American comedian and actor.), and Shelley Duvall (American actress and producer known for her work in Popeye (1980), The Shining (1980), Time Bandits (1981), Tim Burton's short comedy horror film Frankenweenie (1984), and Fred Schepisi's comedy film Roxanne (1987).) We also talk about some rumors and theories regarding the release of Deadpool & Wolverine. (This episode was recorded during the first day of San Diego Comic Con and at the time we avoided a lot of the rumors and spoilers surrounding the release of the movie.)
