Send us a text [https://www.buzzsprout.com/twilio/text_messages/1734888/open_sms] Today we got a hot episode that was recorded back in June! It's about teacher burnout and why teachers are leaving the profession! Kind of a bummer way to start the school year, but I thought it was a good conversation to have so we don't burn out. Maybe we can prep ourselves and have a better understanding heading into the school why teachers have left the classroom in prior years. Today we bring in Tyler Boyle, an Acclaimed TedX Speaker, Educational Consultant, and Award Winning Teacher. Tyler was in the classroom for 20 years that was marked by prestigious accolades including the Prime Ministers Award of Teaching Excellence. His expertise as a Meditation Mentor is distinguished by his groundbreaking program, Dreamwalkers Meditations, which has been instrumental in alleviating classroom chaos, enhancing emotional intelligence, and elevating student engagement in classrooms.  Amongst many of his current roles, he is also known to be a keynote speaker and has presented at many conferences Learning and Teaching for Tomorrow, Provoking Curriculum Encounters, and the Ontario Healthy Schools Conference. We talk about: 1. Why did an award winning teacher leave the classroom? 2. Is money, working conditions the main reasons why teachers leave? 3. How much money do teachers need to make to be satisfied? 4. Tyler's 8 "C's on why teachers leave Check him out and check out this episode! When is this test happening? 2. What is the passing rate on this test? 3. What is going to be on this test? 4. Who is responsible for prepping the students on this test? 5. What information are we trying to get from this test? I hope everyone had a great summer and good luck to the start of the school year!
