Welcome to The Tribe Kin, a podcast hosted by Fathia. Here, we share powerful, intimate, and honest stories from Afro-descendants around the world. From personal journeys to cultural reflections, each episode is a celebration of our voices, our roots, and our shared experience—because our stories echo far beyond borders. Sometimes it’s just me, storytelling straight from the heart. Other times, I bring in guests for real conversations, debates, and deep dives into the issues that matter to us. The Tribe Kin Podcast - Season finale - Kwanzaa

My people !!! TTK podcast is coming back for a 2nd season in 2026. Thank for your time and support and stay tuned ! Kwanzaa is often misunderstood or overlooked, yet it was born from a powerful historical moment. Created in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga, Kwanzaa emerged in the aftermath of the Watts Rebellion and during a period of intense state repression against Black liberation movements in the United States. In this episode, we explore Kwanzaa as a cultural and political response to fragmentation. Drawing from historical archives, critical Black scholarship, and contemporary Black writers, this conversation reconnects Kwanzaa to its original purpose: resistance through culture, solidarity through action, and remembrance as a form of power. Beyond celebration, Kwanzaa invites us to live intentionally, support one another, and recognize ourselves as carriers of ancestral knowledge and collective memory. The Tribe Kin Podcast - Episode #1 - We don't have to be identical to be united

In this episode, we explored the tensions and misunderstandings that can exist within the global Black community—between continental Africans and Afro-descendants in the Americas and the Caribbean... We looked at where those divides come from: colonial histories, forced migrations, religion, class, and proximity to whiteness. But more importantly, we opened up space for something deeper—recognition. Recognition that difference is not division. Hope you will enjoy this episode ! If so, don't mind to share, comment and subscribe ;) Love y'all xx credits: Sound Effect by Alban_Gogh [https://pixabay.com/fr/users/alban_gogh-28413822/?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=music&utm_content=189952] from Pixabay [https://pixabay.com//?utm_source=link-attribution&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=music&utm_content=189952]
