Episode John 13 — Love That Serves Cover

John 13 — Love That Serves

Welcome to this week's worship service at The Vine! 🌿 In today's message, we begin John 13, where Jesus shares one of the most unforgettable demonstrations of His love. On the night before His crucifixion, the King of kings does what no one expected—He kneels down and washes His disciples' feet. This wasn't simply an act of kindness. It was a picture of the gospel itself. At the heart of this passage is a powerful truth: The love of Jesus humbles us before it transforms us, and once it transforms us, it sends us out to humbly serve others. In this message, we explore: - How the love of Jesus willingly stoops to serve - Why God's grace must first be received before it can be given - What Jesus teaches us about true humility - How those who have been cleansed by Christ are called to become servants of others Peter wanted to serve Jesus before allowing Jesus to serve him. But Jesus reminds us that we cannot give what we have not first received. His cleansing grace changes us from the inside out, and that transformed life naturally overflows into humble service. This passage challenges us to ask: - Have I received the cleansing grace of Christ? - Am I serving others from a heart transformed by His love? - Does my life reflect the humility of my Savior? May this message encourage you to receive Christ's grace more deeply, walk in His humility, and joyfully serve those around you. #John13 #ServantKing #LoveThatServes #HumbleService #TheVineChurch

Episode John 12:44-50 — Walk in the Light Cover

John 12:44-50 — Walk in the Light

Happy Father's Day! Today we celebrate and honor fathers, grandfathers, spiritual fathers, and the many men who faithfully invest in the lives of others. Thank you for your love, sacrifice, guidance, and example. In this week's sermon, we reflect on Jesus' powerful closing invitation in John 12:44–50. At the heart of this passage is a simple but life-changing truth: Jesus came into the world so that we might step out of darkness and walk in the light of life. As Jesus concludes His public ministry in John's Gospel, He makes one final appeal to those listening. His words remind us that to receive Jesus is to receive the Father who sent Him. He did not come to condemn the world, but to save it. Yet His invitation demands a response. In this message, we explore: • Why believing in Jesus means trusting the God who sent Him • How Jesus brings people out of spiritual darkness and into light • The difference between Christ's first coming to save and His future role as judge • Why the words of Jesus lead to eternal life • The importance of choosing whose voice will shape our lives This passage invites us to ask some important questions: Whose voice are you trusting most right now? Whose words shape your decisions? Whose truth defines your reality? May this message encourage you to trust Christ more deeply, walk in His light, and find the life that only He can give. #John12 #LightOfTheWorld #FathersDay #FollowJesus #TheVineChurch

Episode John 12:37-43 — When Seeing Isn’t Believing Cover

John 12:37-43 — When Seeing Isn’t Believing

Welcome to this week’s worship service at The Vine! 🌿 In today’s message from John 12:37–43, we encounter one of the most sobering passages in the Gospel of John. Even after witnessing Jesus’ miracles and hearing His teaching, many still refused to believe. At the heart of this passage is a challenging truth: The greatest danger is not that we cannot see Jesus, but that we can see Him clearly and still refuse to surrender to Him. In this message, we explore: - How repeatedly rejecting the light can lead to spiritual darkness - Why unbelief is often rooted in the heart rather than a lack of evidence - The mystery of God’s sovereignty and human responsibility working together - How Isaiah’s vision points to the glory of Christ - The danger of valuing human approval more than the approval of God We also meet people who believed in Jesus but were unwilling to openly follow Him because they feared the consequences. Their story challenges us to consider our own hearts: Are there places where fear, pride, or the opinions of others are keeping us from fully surrendering to Christ? John reminds us that Jesus is far greater than we often realize—and that every encounter with Him calls for a response. May this message encourage you to walk in the light, trust the glory of Christ, and seek God's approval above all else. #John12 #WhenSeeingIsntBelieving #FollowJesus #FaithAndSurrender #TheVineChurch
