Every Writer Starts From Zero

We all start from Zero. Does An Author Need Validation?

Do we need to hear people tell us how good we are to be successful as authors?  There definitely needs to be a balance when it comes to validation. Yes we do need validation but that can't be our focus and something we need to look for as authors.  We need to be able to motivate ourselves and to be able to do things even when no one is behind us.  Writing can be a lonely job at times so we need to learn to change the locus of control from being external to internal.  What are your thoughts on the topic? How To Win At Being An Author

Today I am celebrating the 50th episode on this podcast and what a journey it's being to this point. There have been highs and there have been lows but I am still here.  In this episode I talk about one of the main things that have kept me going as an author and that is to not give up.  If you are going to succeed at anything in life don't give up no matter how hard it is.  And especially as an author, you are going to face some really tough challenges that might convince to give it up but you need to keep at it. You are building something amazing as an author and there will be opposition but don't give up.  I would like to thank all my listeners for taking the time to listen to what I have to say. It's so important to surround yourself with the right people as you pursue your goals and dreams.  And the sad reality is that there are always people who don't see or don't want to see the potential you have.  And because we are unsure of ourselves we let anyone tell us what we can and can do.  You need to back yourself and believe in yourself.
