Episode 13. Shadow Work Through Dream Interpretation: "Killing My Brother" Cover

13. Shadow Work Through Dream Interpretation: "Killing My Brother"

In this episode, I share one of the most shocking dreams I’ve ever had—a dream where I killed my younger brother—and explore what it revealed about my unconscious through Jungian dream analysis. We talk about shadow work, symbolism, guilt, scarcity, instinct, and the parts of ourselves we abandon in order to survive. I share how I personally work with dreams and how I use ChatGPT as a reflective tool for self-inquiry and interpretation–not as an authority, but as a mirror. The depth of the insight you get depends on the depth of your honesty, vulnerability, and self-awareness, which is why discernment is so so important when working with tools like ChatGPT: take what resonates, question what doesn’t, and stay connected to your own inner knowing. To show you what this process can look like in practice, I read through the full conversation I had with ChatGPT to interpret this dream—and what initially felt horrifying slowly unfolded into a story about self-trust, integration, and reconnecting with lost parts of my Self. This episode is an intimate look into the psyche, the unconscious, and the transformative power of working consciously with dreams. – Here's the spotify link to the Jungian Analysis podcast I mention in the episode: This Jungian Life Podcast [https://open.spotify.com/show/0WZGsEtujbA7DqCmvnaoIg?si=b44e790c0c6d48f7] And the tarot app I frequently use is called "Labyrinthos". – If you feel called to share your own thoughts or experiences, or book a Human Design & Astrology reading with me you can reach out to me on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/theyappinghermit?igsh=c2NiNDNuejJ2aDhy&utm_source=qr] or via email at theyappinghermit@gmail.com. l'd love to hear from you. ✨ – And if you liked this episode, it would mean a lot to me if you followed the show and left a rating and review/comment, or shared it with someone who might like it too, so that more people can find this podcast. Episode 12. My Past Lives [Part 2]: Anxiety Around Leaving Home Cover

12. My Past Lives [Part 2]: Anxiety Around Leaving Home

This is the second part of a multi-epsidode series about my personal past lives, where I dive deep into all the past life regressions I have done so far and the important lessons I was able to learn from them. In this episode, we explore the stories of my second and third past life regressions, which share an overarching theme; the theme of moving out of the parental home, leaving familiar surroundings, and the anxiety that can come with that. And even though both lifetimes share that common theme, they have drastically different outcomes.  It is my belief that, during a regression, your Higher Self will always show you the past life that will best help you navigate your current life-season, in order for you to move forward–and so it is no coincedence that I was shown those lifetimes during a time where I felt called (and pressured) to finally move out of my parents’ but also felt really anxious about leaving the place I grew up and had lived in all my life. Through revisiting those past lives I was able to clearly see the subconscious ties that were still holding me back from taking that next step in my life, plus I received some important confirmation around a soul connection which helped me take heart and do what had scared me for so long. If you feel called to try it out for yourself, here’s the spotify link to the past life regression meditation I used: Past Life Regression Guided Meditation [https://open.spotify.com/episode/0XY7jmxFK210IDgSMJ1JSY?si=Rm9OFjApRFKp-ukkCkO5cg] – Here are the spotify links to the podcasts I recommend about past lives & co.: 1. You'll notice some high-pitched ringing here and there throughout the episode (feedback-loop(?) that I have no clue how it came to be), as well as some shuffling noises towards the end (that I also have no clue where they came from). I did try to fix those issues in post but–since I'm still pretty new to this and am very much not tech-savvy–I sadly wasn't able to fully remedy them. It's not horrendous, you'll still be able to hear and understand what I'm saying clearly, it might just be a little distracting at times. Thanks for being patient with me while I'm still learning ✨all that techy stuff✨ and I'll try my best to ensure that future episodes deliver better sound quality again. Episode 11. My Past Lives [Part 1]: Confronting Karmic Guilt Cover

11. My Past Lives [Part 1]: Confronting Karmic Guilt

This episode is the first part of a multi-epsiode series about my personal past lives, where I dive deep into all the past life regressions I have done so far and the important lessons I was able to learn from them. In this opening episode, I share the story of my very first regression – a life marked by deep love, but also profound guilt, loneliness, fear, and powerlessness. By exploring this lifetime through reading you the full journal entry I wrote immediately after the regression, you will witness the transformative healing impact this experience has had on me (and may have on you, if you decide to try it yourself). I revisit the experience of growing up with my mother, a healer, on the edge of a forest, and the traumatic events that led to her execution after being accused of witchcraft. What followed was a life lived in hiding, shaped by isolation and the heavy belief that I was somehow responsible for her death.  This lifetime ultimately ended in despair — but the regression itself became a powerful portal for understanding patterns I still carry today. I reflect on the emotional themes that surfaced, the life circumstances that led my higher self to show me this memory, and the profound lesson around guilt that shifted my relationship with my mother.  – Most of my past life regressions (this first one included) I've done by myself, using a recorded meditation that I found online. Episode 10. The 12 Zodiacal Archetypes [Part 2]: Leo–Pisces Cover

10. The 12 Zodiacal Archetypes [Part 2]: Leo–Pisces

This is the second part of a two-part mini-series about the 12 Zodiac signs, so if you haven’t listened to part 1 I’d recommend you listen to that one first. Here’s the link to that episode: The Zodiacal [Part 1]: Aries–Cancer [https://open.spotify.com/episode/1gSPATTBbM0b2DIycV5jPq?si=82b9ca8dea6641e8] This two-part-series is here to introduce you to the 12 archetypal energies in Astrology, which is a good place to start if you’re new to Astrology  and want to have a solid foundation of the basics (it’s where I first started). If you know the energies of the 12 Zodiac Signs you will be able to roughly deduce the themes of the 12 houses, as well as the characteristics of the 10 celestial bodies that rule over the individual signs (yes 10! because Mercury and Venus each co-rule two signs). So having an understanding of these 12 archetypal energies is key if you want to dive deeper into Astrology and use it as a tool for better understanding yourself, others, the energetic weather, and the cyclical nature of life. In this episode I talk about: * Astrology Basics (what the Zodiac, the planets, and the houses mean in a chart and how you can interpret them when you put these three pieces together) * The Archetype of Leo ♌︎  * The Archetype of Virgo ♍︎ * The Archetype of Libra ♎︎ * The Archetype of Scorpio ♏︎ * The Archetype of Sagittarius ♐︎  * The Archetype of Capricorn ♑︎ * The Archetype of Aquarius ♒︎ * The Archetype of Pisces ♓︎ * The odd tangent about my own experiences or random brain farts here and there (as per usual) A little Side-Note: I recorded this episode during Mercury Retrograde in Pisces–Mercury is all about communication and intellect and when a planet is retrograde it means that the planet struggles a little with expressing its inherent qualities / the energy isn’t as smooth and flowy as when the planet’s direct, PLUS Mercury’s already not that comfortable in Pisces because Merc likes to be sharp, detailed and logical, while Pisces really has their head in the clouds and isn’t all that concerned with logic and precision (aaand Merc Rx was transiting my 3rd house, the house of communication (among other things))–All that to say that I really noticed the Mercury Rx in Pisces of it all while editing this episode, aka I sound like my tongue is made of lead and I struggled with finding the correct words even more than usual. Now, I’m not saying this to apologise, it just be like that sometimes (e.g. when Merc Rx lol), and I’m working hard on my perfectionism (and not apologising for imperfections is part of that!). I just thought I’d mention it for those who are new to Astrology and want to learn because it’s a perfect example of how Mercury Rx can manifest. :) – If you feel called to share your own thoughts or experiences, or book an Astrology and/or Human Design reading with me you can reach out to me on Instagram [https://www.instagram.com/theyappinghermit?igsh=c2NiNDNuejJ2aDhy&utm_source=qr] or via email at theyappinghermit@gmail.com. l'd love to hear from you. ✨ – And if you liked this episode, it would mean a lot to me if you followed the show and left a rating and review/comment, or maybe even share it with someone who might like it too, so that more people can find this podcast. Episode 9. The 12 Zodiacal Archetypes [Part 1]: Aries–Cancer Cover

9. The 12 Zodiacal Archetypes [Part 1]: Aries–Cancer

This is the first of two episodes about the 12 Zodiac signs and it serves as an introduction to the 12 archetypal energies in Astrology. If you know the energies of the 12 Zodiac Signs you will be able to roughly deduce the themes of the 12 houses, as well as the characteristics of the 10 celestial bodies that rule over the individual signs. So having an understanding of these 12 archetypal energies is key if you want to dive deeper into Astrology and use it as a tool for better understanding yourself, others, the energetic weather, and the cyclical nature of life. The topics I discuss: - You are not just your Sun Sign!!! - The Modalities (Cardinal, Fixed, Mutable) - The Elements (Fire, Earth, Air, Water) - The Archetype of Aries ♈︎ - The Archetype of Taurus ♉︎ - The Archetype of Gemini ♊︎ - The Archetype of Cancer ♋︎ I initially planned to cover the first 6 signs (Aries–Virgo) in this episode, and cover the latter half (Libra–Pisces) in the following episode. Unfortunately I ran out of time during recording, which is why I didn't get to talk about Leo and Virgo in this episode. But I will be covering those alongside the other remaining 6 Archetypes in the next episode, so stay tuned for episode 10. :) – If you feel called to share your own thoughts or experiences, or book a Human Design & Astrology reading with me you can reach out to me on Instagram [ https://www.instagram.com/theyappinghermit?igsh=c2NiNDNuejJ2aDhy&utm_source=qr] or via email at theyappinghermit@gmail.com. l'd love to hear from you. ✨ – And if you liked this episode, it would mean a lot to me if you followed the show and left a rating and review|comment, or maybe even share it with someone who might like it too, so that more people can find this podcast.
