In this episode, I sit down with Phoebe De Leiburné to talk about what it means to come out later in life. Phoebe shares her journey of rediscovering herself at 30, finally embracing her identity as a lesbian after years of internal conflict. Phoebe opens up about toxic relationships, mental health struggles, and the heartbreak she endured before finding true love with her wife. In this episode, I sit down with Darcie, a TikTok creator and mental health advocate, to talk about hidden disabilities and what it’s like to be misdiagnosed for years!! Darcie shares her journey of being wrongly labeled with bipolar, navigating medical neglect, and discovering her ADHD and Autism in adulthood. We explore the emotional toll of being misunderstood, the challenges of accessing support, and her fight against systemic barriers while advocating for neurodivergent and disabled communities. This conversation is a reminder of why listening to neurodivergent voices matters. The need to challenge assumptions, break down stigma, and create space for people to finally be seen and understood.

In this episode, I sit down with Lynn Kyle, a queer therapist from Northern Ireland, to explore the immense power of visibility and what it really means to live and work authentically. Lynn shares her deeply personal liberation story, including the process of coming out at 46, navigating rejection from her family, and discovering her true identity as a queer therapist. We talk about the subtle ways internalised homophobia can shape our lives influencing guilt, shame, perfectionism, and even burnout. How systemic forces like religion, community, history, and intergenerational trauma keep so many of us hidden. This conversation is about recognising that authenticity is a radical undertaking. Coming out and coming home to ourselves is a continuous courageous act.

In this episode, I sit down with Vik, also known as the Chatty Abortion Midwife, to talk about inclusive language and what it really takes to create abortion care that welcomes trans and gender non-conforming people. Vik shares her experience working in abortion care, why language matters so deeply in medical settings, and how assumptions about gender can create barriers to access. We explore the process of developing inclusive policies, the fact that women are people and the impact this has on patient safety and dignity.  This conversation is rooted in care. It’s about moving beyond gendered frameworks and towards abortion access that truly includes everyone
