Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversation  is a safe space for anyone who's ever felt overlooked, overwhelmed, or off-track. Through honest conversation, biblical truth, and sisterhood/brotherhood that goes beyond blood, we journey together—restored by grace, grounded in faith, and called for more. Where two faith-filled women dive into real-life topics with honesty, scripture, and sisterhood and brotherhood. It’s where truth speaks, grace covers, and everyone  is welcomed just as we are. John 1:16 (NIV) “Out of His fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.”We choose John 1:16 because it reflects the layers of grace we talk about—the redemptive grace, the sustaining grace, the identity-giving grace—and it speaks to the fullness of Christ that we prayer pours into our listeners. Isaiah 40:31“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”We choose this verse because it emphasizes the strength, endurance, and renewal that come from placing trust in God, which perfectly aligns with resilience, faith, and empowerment within our podcast. It speaks to the idea that, even in challenging times, women can find strength and grace through their faith, soaring above life's difficulties with renewed strength. “Rooted in truth. Covered in grace. Carried by faith.”

Episode I Almost Missed the Miracle Cover

I Almost Missed the Miracle

Ladies we want to prayer for you. Please take time to share your story or just ask for prayer. We would love to be unrelated sister to you! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471763/fan_mail/new] In this emotional and faith-filled episode of Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversation, Shannon shares how physical sickness and exhaustion almost kept her from attending J Fest—but God had something waiting for her there. After a week of feeling weak, discouraged, and spiritually distant, Shannon opens up about how God began speaking again through worship, children praising freely, and a divine moment of obedience involving a woman named Haley. All day long, Shannon felt God nudging her to pray over Haley and kept sensing children’s ministry in her spirit. Then, during a powerful worship moment, God gave Shannon a word: “Tell her what she is praying for is coming.” Haley broke down in tears and revealed she and her husband had been praying for a baby. This episode explores spiritual sensitivity, obedience, hearing the voice of God again, and how God often speaks through weakness, worship, and surrender. If you’ve been spiritually exhausted, emotionally numb, or questioning whether God still speaks, this episode is for you. Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” Acts 2:17 “In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people…” Matthew 18:3 “Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” James 4:8 “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”  ENCOURAGEMENT  To the person listening who feels spiritually numb… God has not forgotten you. And just because you haven’t heard Him clearly lately does not mean He stopped speaking. Sometimes exhaustion clouds our hearing.  Sometimes pain distracts us.  Sometimes life gets loud. But God still speaks. And maybe your breakthrough is hiding in the place you almost didn’t go. Maybe your awakening begins with simply showing up. CLOSING PRAYER Father… Thank You for meeting us in weakness. Thank You for reminding us that You still speak. Lord, awaken our spirits again.  Help us become sensitive to Your voice.  Help us obey even when we’re nervous.  Help us trust even when we don’t understand. And Father, I pray for every listener carrying exhaustion, sickness, heaviness, or spiritual numbness. Meet them the way You met me today. Restore wonder.  Restore worship.  Restore sensitivity to Your Spirit. And Lord, thank You for divine moments.  The ones we almost missed.  The ones heaven already prepared. In Jesus’ name… Amen. “When Faith Feels Empty (But You’re Still Showing Up)”

Ladies we want to prayer for you. Please take time to share your story or just ask for prayer. We would love to be unrelated sister to you! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471763/fan_mail/new] In this deeply raw and unfiltered episode of Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversation, Shannon and Deb sit down with no script—just honesty. After opening up about past abuse, Shannon finds herself in an unexpected place:  feeling empty… disconnected… and questioning everything. From waking up in the middle of the night, feeling pulled in every direction at work, missing the connection of Bible study, and carrying quiet worry for family—this episode holds space for what many believers feel but don’t say out loud: What happens after you tell the truth? Why does it sometimes feel like God is silent?  Why does faith feel heavy when you’re still praying, worshiping, and showing up?  And what do you do when life feels… mundane? Through real conversation, laughter, tears, and prayer, Shannon and Deb explore: *  The emotional aftermath of sharing your story  *  Spiritual silence and feeling distant from God  *  The tension between faith and fatigue  *  The importance of community and connection  *  Recognizing the enemy’s voice vs. God’s peace  *  Finding hope in the middle of confusion  This episode is not about having it all together. It’s about staying… even when you feel lost. If you’ve ever smiled on the outside while struggling on the inside—this conversation is for you. You are not alone.  You are not failing.  And God has not left you. We want this to be truly interactive podcast. Episode Full Circle Cover

Full Circle

Ladies we want to prayer for you. Please take time to share your story or just ask for prayer. We would love to be unrelated sister to you! [https://www.buzzsprout.com/2471763/fan_mail/new] In this deeply honest episode of Unrelated Sisters: Truth & Grace Conversation, Shannon reflects on the tension between last week’s heavy, emotional season and this week’s unexpected emptiness. What do you do when you go from feeling everything… to feeling nothing? Through personal reflection, Scripture from Psalms, 1 Kings, and Isaiah, and real-life moments—including a recent trip to Washington DC—this episode explores the full circle of faith: God is not only in the breaking…  He is in the quiet rebuilding too. If you’ve been feeling tired, unmotivated, or spiritually off—this conversation will meet you right where you are. After opening up about past abuse, she found herself in an unexpected place: *  waking up at 2–3 AM  *  feeling empty  *  frustrated at work  *  carrying quiet worry for her husband  *  struggling to feel like herself  Why does that happen? Through biblical truth, personal reflection, and real-life honesty, this episode explores the full circle of healing: Telling the truth is not the end of the process…  it’s often the beginning of deeper healing. With encouragement from Psalms, 1 Kings, and Matthew, this episode will help you understand what’s happening—and how God meets you in it. Psalms 23 > “He restores my soul.” Restoration is quiet. It’s not loud. It doesn’t always feel powerful. Isaiah 40:31 > “Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…” Waiting isn’t exciting. But it’s where strength is rebuilt. What if… this isn’t a funk? What if this is recovery? Psalms 34:18 > “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted…” Not just when it happened… But when you finally feel it. Look at Elijah again in 1 Kings 19. After the fire… After the victory… He crashes. He isolates. He says, “I’ve had enough.”  WHAT DO YOU DO NOW?  1. Don’t shut the door again You already opened it. Stay honest. 2. Talk to God in the middle of the night When you wake up at 2 or 3? That’s not wasted. That’s an invitation. 3. Give yourself grace You didn’t “mess yourself up.” You started healing. 4. Let God sit with you here Not rush you out. Not fix it instantly. Just be with you. 🙏 PRAYER  Lord, You see every layer we’ve uncovered. Every memory.  Every feeling.  Every restless night. And instead of running from it… help us trust You in it. Sit with us in the quiet. Meet us in the middle of the night. And remind us that healing is not a moment— it’s a process You walk with us through. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
