Hey, Jude: 2
What if the greatest threats to the church aren't outside its walls, but sitting at the table?
In this episode, we continue our journey through the book of Jude and examine one of the New Testament's strongest warnings against false teachers. Jude moves from ancient patterns of rebellion to specific archetypes of rebellion: Cain, Balaam, and Korah. Along the way, we explore why Michael the archangel becomes an example of humility under authority, how greed and self-exaltation corrupt spiritual leadership, and why Jude describes false teachers as hidden reefs waiting to shipwreck unsuspecting believers.
From the Assumption of Moses to the prophecy of Enoch, we uncover the Jewish context behind Jude's warnings and ask a sobering question: Are the same patterns still present in the church today?
If Jude is right, the danger isn't merely bad doctrine, it's a heart that rejects God's authority while claiming to speak for Him.

The Assumption of Moses
"When Moses died on the mountain, the archangel Michael was sent to transfer the body.
ii. Therefore the devil opposed, wishing to deceive, saying:
(a) "The body is mine, as master of matter." But the archangel, arguing with the devil, said: "May the Lord rebuke you; for from His Holy Spirit all were created, and from the face of God came forth His spirit, and the world came into being."
(b) Then the devil brought accusation because of the killing of the Egyptian, saying: Moses is a murderer; therefore it is not allowed for him to receive the lawful burial.
iii. Then the archangel Michael, talking with the devil, said: "You inspired the serpent so as to become the cause of the transgression of Adam and Eve."
iv. And Joshua, son of Nun, saw Moses being taken up in a twofold manner, one with angels, the other being deemed worthy of burial on the mountains near the valleys. Joshua saw this vision, lifted in spirit along with Caleb."
