Episode 7 - The Mastermind Rogue

(Bit-Late) Halloween/Spooky Season episode: One great thing about D&D is that it brings people together even across great distances; on today's Episode of We Met in a Tavern we do just that as I'm joined by my latest and first international guest, Luke Piechowski. You may know him as @ArcaneKeeper on instagram; he's a master-storyteller, role-player, and lore-keeper for Call of Cthulhu.  In this episode we discuss his Tiefling Mastermind Rogue Mordai, their origins & best story beats; as well as dive into both Call of Cthulu & Vampire the Masquerade as wonderful RPG systems, especially for those who really lean into the RP or Social aspects of games, and also like the 'spooky' aesthetic. Episode 6 - The Elf Cleric of Selune

We're all about coincidental patterns here at the Tavern, and Elves have been enjoying this batches Happy Hour it seems. Today I bring an old friend but new DnD player on to talk about her experiences with the game; from when she was thrown into a home game due to proximity, to now where she's using the game to reconnect with family. Her character Rina is a wonderful mashup of Alanna of Trebond (from Tamora Pierce's book series) and Regina Mills (from Once Upon a Time). Episode 3 - The Halfling Tempest

There must be a deal on drinks for Clerics at the Tavern, because in our third episode I sit down with my good friend Lily to discuss yet another Cleric. This time however, it's her character Revna (a Tempest Cleric) who is much more of an offensive force rather than a support healer. We also go into detail on the benefits to bringing a character to the table that isn't quite done baking, and how these more malleable characters can be changed by the world, the DM, and other players at the table.
