Ep. 31 - Our end of year recap!

This week we’re fully embracing the end-of-year slump: Baileys in tea, incense burning, and zero prep. Classic We Will Manage Mondays energy, but on a Thursday! We catch up on everything that’s been happening behind the scenes — Alba settling into her new London flat (and trying not to buy every plant she sees), and Saoirse navigating the wild transition of going 80% into her startup while still wrapping up loose ends at her current job. Big moves all around. We talk raises, trial periods, chaotic Decembers, unrealistic goals, Lapland plans, and that weird bittersweet mix of exhaustion and pride you get at the end of a long year. In this episode, we finally do what we promised a while ago: we let AI psychoanalyze our childhood dreams. (Because if you can’t trust a robot to unpack your emotional baggage… who can you trust?) Saoirse revisits her iconic recurring dinosaur nightmare — yes, she was always hiding in terrible hiding spots, and yes, her brain apparently had reasons. Meanwhile, Alba talks through her lifelong habit of dreaming as completely different people… including, at one point, a very tired old man. Totally normal, according to ChatGPT. Comforting? We get into emotional development, childhood fears, growing up, and why your dream self might look absolutely nothing like you.
