E30 | Resolution Reboot

Let’s be honest; we’re just about halfway through the year and have dropped the ball on our New Year resolutions. We’re human, it happens. Life be life’in!! But that’s ok…there’s so many motivational sayings to get you going again; * Fall seven times, get up eight * A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn * Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending - Carl Bard * Every sunset is an opportunity to reset - Richie Norton * Reset, refocus, readjust, restart as many times as you need to. Just never give up. Hopefully you find one of those motivating enough to reignite what you attempted. And if you’re somebody who hasn’t dropped the new year resolution ball…well whoop-dee-doo. 🤣

E29 | Don’t Like it, Then Don’t Listen

Stop trying to run the comedians off the stage! Comedy has always been a point of relief to all the things going on in life. Hence the phrase “comic relief”. All comedians have their go to topics and have their own delivery. And if a particular comedian doesn’t fit your mold…then don’t listen! No one needs to be cancelled, you just need thicker skin. And if you still want to live in sensitivity, then use some clearly not so common sense and change the channel.

I was told makeup was to enhance your beauty, not cover it up. So why are girls and women painting on whole new faces to leave the house? Fake hair, fake lashes, fake bodies…guess it goes along with the fake lives being lived on social media. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Whatever the reason, I need this to phase out and natural beauty to make a come back!

E26 | Prom Season is Here

It’s prom season! While I’m down for dressing up and having a good time, these proms are becoming thee most! Thousands of dollars for custom dresses and prom send offs…not in my house. What happened to the”good ole days” where prom was just an end of year, finally graduating, celebratory send off? Now it’s the hunt for the next Cardi B or Sexy Red. Parents, we have to do better!
