The Ministry of Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18-21)

In this message from 2 Corinthians 5:18–21, guest preacher and Ashland Community Church member, Brother Faustin Kayinamura kicks off our "Ends of the Earth" missions week with a powerful message on "The Ministry of Reconciliation". While many religious cultures focus heavily on human effort and legalistic "do's and don'ts," biblical wisdom reminds us that the gospel always establishes the why before giving us the what. Before we are called to act, we must be deeply anchored in what Christ has already accomplished on our behalf. The scriptures remind us of our broken state apart from Christ—we were completely dead, corrupt, and in a state of condemnation. Yet, out of infinite mercy, God chose not to count our trespasses against us. Through the perfect substitutionary work of Jesus on the cross, He paid our debt in full, taking our sins away and imputing His holy righteousness to us. Because we have been completely reconciled to God, we are now left here on earth to serve as His official ambassadors. Every single blood-bought believer is entrusted with this vital message of reconciliation—whether in our workplaces, our local neighborhoods, or by supporting global missions to the ends of the earth. Sharing this truth doesn’t require advanced theological degrees; it simply demands a willingness to declare: "I was blind, but now I see." As we consider the Great Commission, let us joyfully give of our prayers, our finances, and our lives so that the Lamb who was slain might receive the full reward of His suffering. 🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net 📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram! The Wisdom of Godly Parenting (Proverbs 3:11-12)

In this message from Proverbs 3:11–12, we conclude our series in the Book of Proverbs by exploring the "Wisdom of Godly Parenting". Pastor Casey McCall addresses the insecurities and pressures facing parents today, confronting our therapeutic culture that prioritizes immediate happiness over long-term character. Biblical wisdom, however, shows us that the ultimate goal of parenting is not our children's momentary comfort, but training them in the fear of the Lord. True, Godly parenting is modeled after our Father in heaven, whose discipline is always motivated by deep, sacrificial love. To fulfill this calling, parents are given essential tools: the powerful example of their own lives, loving and controlled discipline, and diligent everyday instruction. Ultimately, while parents cannot control or guarantee the final outcome of their children's choices, they are called to remain faithful to Jesus, resting in His grace and gospel. 🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram!Subscribe for more sermons and share to encourage others!#Proverbs3 #GodlyParenting #BiblicalWisdom #FamilyDiscipleship #AshlandCommunityChurch #PastorCaseyMcCall #Gospel #FaithfulParenting

The Wisdom of Marital Devotion (Proverbs 5:15-21)

In this message from Proverbs 5:15–21, we examine the "Wisdom of Marital Devotion" and God’s design for intimacy. Pastor Casey McCall addresses a topic often avoided in the church, reminding us that if we are not discipled by the Word of God regarding marriage and sex, we will inevitably be discipled by a broken culture. Far from being a "forbidden" subject, marital intimacy is presented in Scripture as a celebratory, exclusive gift from God.By looking at the creation account in Genesis and the wisdom of Proverbs, we see that marriage is a "one-flesh" union—a total joining of souls that points directly to the mystery of Christ’s love for His church. When we choose our spouses wisely and remain intoxicated in love with them, we protect the sacred covenant God has established. Ultimately, there is hope and restoration for any who have fallen short, as Christ offers forgiveness and the power to walk in newness of life.🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram!Subscribe for more sermons and share to encourage others!#Proverbs5 #Marriage #MaritalDevotion #OneFlesh #AshlandCommunityChurch

The Wisdom of Friendship (Proverbs 27:9-10)

In this message from Proverbs 27:9–10, we examine the "Wisdom of Friendship" and how God uses these relationships to enrich and sharpen our lives. Pastor Casey McCall highlights that while friendship may not be a physiological necessity for survival, it is a divine gift—like "oil and perfume"—that makes the heart glad and provides sweetness through earnest counsel. True friendship, as described in Proverbs, requires more than just shared interests; it demands commitment, transparency, and a willingness to "sharpen" one another. We are called to be constant, candid, considerate, and ultimately "cruciform" friends who model our relationships after the greatest friend of all—Jesus Christ. By laying down His life for His friends, Jesus serves as both our perfect model and our eternal hope, proving that true wisdom is found in loving as He has loved us. 🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram!Subscribe for more sermons and share to encourage others!#Proverbs27 #Friendship #AshlandCommunityChurch

The Wisdom of Work (Proverbs 6:6-11)

In this message from Proverbs 6:6–11, Pastor Casey McCall challenges the common cultural view of work as a "necessary evil" or a means to an end, showing instead that work is a "necessary good" established by God before the fall of man. By looking at the example of the ant and the warnings against the "sluggard," we learn that diligence is not just a personality trait, but a moral issue of living in accordance with how the universe was designed to operate. The sermon identifies the dangers of laziness—from negative life consequences and ruined relationships to the "reality distortion" that causes us to chase fantasies rather than present faithfulness. Ultimately, we find our greatest example and hope in Jesus Christ, the master workman who fulfilled all righteousness through His life of labor and His finished work on the cross. Because of Jesus, we can find dignity and worship in our work, knowing He has redeemed us from our failures and called us to live faithfully in the fields where He has placed us.🖥️ Learn more at ashlandcc.net📱 Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram!Subscribe for more sermons and share to encourage others!#Proverbs6 #HardWork #BiblicalWisdom #Faithfulness #AshlandCommunityChurch #laziness #Gospel
