Alan was one of the early adopters of Hearthstone, the competitive esports card game. Mostly because he was involved in the creation and publishing of it, and eventually, its esports scene as we know it today. He recalled the time when he first realized Hearthstone's potential in the world of esports, and how the esports scene started at a hostel, with players flying in on their own from Korea and Australia.
