In episode 6 of season 2, our host, Alan Fear, sits down with the artist f3ralcat.     F3ralcat is an artist, composer, and producer who performs for a paradigm shift away from that which exists today for the saxophone. His band, Feralcat and the Wild, is a prog-rock/emo/fusion band where his sweeping saxophone melodies carry overtop driving distorted guitars and synthesizers in music that functions better around mosh pits than in jazz clubs. In episode 5 of season 2, our host, Alan Fear, sits down with filmmaker Karina Dandashi.     Karina Dandashi is a Syrian-American Muslim filmmaker born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Her films explore nuances in identity through the intersection of family, religion, and culture in Southwest Asian and North African (SWANA) and Muslim communities in America. Her work has been featured in numerous Oscar-Qualifying festivals around the U.S. and recently screened at The Museum of Modern Art. Karina is a 2020 Creative Culture Fellow at The Jacob Burns Film Center and a 2021 Sundance Ignite Fellow. She was featured in Marie Claire’s inaugural Creators Issue as one of the “Top 21 Creators to Watch'' in 2022. This duality seems to always be in conflict. One of Minimalism and simple structure and one of chaos and immense depth.
