Can I Really Lose Weight Eating Carbs?

Can you really lose weight eating carbs? If you've ever been told to cut them out, restrict them, or felt guilty every time you ate bread, pasta, or fruit — this episode is for you. This week I break down what carbs are, what a low carbohydrate diet really means versus what diet culture has told you it means, and why cutting carbs out completely may be doing more damage than you realize — including some surprising research on what happens to your blood sugar when you bring them back. You'll also walk away with three concrete things you can start doing right now to heal your relationship with carbs — without a single new rule to follow. None of this is about rules. It's about understanding your body, trusting yourself, and finally making peace with the food that diet culture made you afraid of. Nobody Asked You: The Comments About Our Bodies That We Were Never Supposed to Just Accept

Have you ever had someone say something about your body that stopped you in your tracks? Something you smiled through, said nothing about, and then carried with you for years? This episode is about those moments. The comments from doctors, colleagues, friends, and people we trusted. The ones meant as compliments that landed like criticism. The ones that were just cruel. The ones nobody had any business saying out loud — and yet said anyway. But why does this keep happening? Why is commenting on women's bodies so accepted, so normal, so unremarkable that most people don't even realize they're doing anything wrong? I dig into that too — because understanding where this comes from is the first step to stopping it from having power over you. We're going to talk about why these comments hurt so much more than people realize, and what you can actually do about it — both in the moment and long term. Because those comments didn't just sting and disappear. They built something inside you. A voice. A belief. A way of seeing yourself through other people's eyes that has been running your relationship with your body — and your eating — ever since. Your body was never up for discussion. This episode is about finally acting like it. The Devil Wears Size 00

You've probably seen The Devil Wears Prada. You might have loved it. You might have quoted it. But when I rewatched it recently, I was shocked by what I hadn't noticed the first time around — a movie-length masterclass in diet culture, dressed up in Chanel and Valentino and presented as aspirational. In this episode I go scene by scene through moments that I genuinely could not believe I had missed the first time around. Once you hear this, you will never watch this movie the same way again. But this episode isn't really about a movie. It's about the water we're all swimming in — the messages about bodies, thinness, and food that were installed in us long before we were old enough to question them. From the magazines in waiting rooms to the comments at family dinners to the doctors who made the scale the first order of business — these messages are everywhere. And the most dangerous thing about them is that they feel like reality rather than what they actually are: beliefs we never chose. If you've ever felt guilty after eating something you love, started over on a Monday more times than you can count, or looked in the mirror and seen a problem instead of a person — this episode is for you. The water you've been swimming in is not the truth about your body. And you get to decide what happens next. Is Less Better? I Have Thoughts.

Last week we questioned "more is better." This week I'm flipping it. Because here's what I've noticed — the same women who were handed the "more is better" message their whole lives were also handed the opposite one. At the exact same time. From a completely different direction. Less food. Fewer calories. Smaller portions. Tighter windows. Less fat. Cut the carbs. Take up less space. We traded one story for another. But what if the second story is just as worth questioning as the first? In this episode I'm looking honestly at "less is better" — where it's true, where it completely falls apart, and why so many smart, motivated women have followed this advice faithfully and ended up further from their goals than when they started. This isn't about giving you a new set of rules. It's about something that will actually change how you think. Is More Better? Is Nike Right?

We've been believing that "more is better" our whole lives. Keep going, keep climbing, keep pushing, keep wanting more. Do more, be more, get more done. Let's question that belief, shall we? Is it true? When is it true? How is it true? When is it helpful? In today's episode, we uncover how the assumptions and beliefs about MORE are guiding your life more (Ha ha) than you know. What can you do about it? How can you change your perspective when it is the water that we are all swimming in? Do you want to? This episode will make you think differently about the actions you take every single day. And not in a heavy, hard "you've been wrong your whole life" way — but in a "huh, I never looked at it like that way" kind of way. Come listen. Then tell me what made sense for you and how you want to use this concept in your life. DM me on Instagram or find the link in the show notes to start a conversation.
