Episode 15 - A Walk in the Dark

This episode features the world premiere of a new podcast series entitled “A Walk in the Dark”. Performed by local voice actors and produced at Village Recording Studio in Broad Ripple, the series is inspired by TV and Radio shows such as the Twilight Zone and Hitchcock Presents. The series is written and directed by Bob Berry, a long-time actor, acting coach, and soon-to-be-author. The first episode, “The Accident” will be played and then Bob will talk about the origin of the story, his background in acting and coaching, and how podcasting is the second “golden age of audio” and creating new demand and opportunities for voice actors.

Episode 14 - Caregiving with Joy

In this episode, Tina McIntosh and Corrina Thompson of Joy's House talk about the special care for adults living with physical and mental challenges as well as the needs of family caregivers caring for an aging or disabled loved one.  The also talk about the Dawson family, who owned the land and house that Joy's House currently calls home.  Be sure to attend Joy's House annual Open House on Thursday July 26, a family-friendly evening event at Joy’s House Broad Ripple including dinner, activities, music and more.

On Sunday, July 9, 2017 Indianapolis firefighters responded to a call involving two veteran kayakers who got into trouble on the White River. In this episode of the Broad Ripple Village Podcast, Captain Casey Sweeney, rescue firefighter Kenny Lang and rescue firefighter Matthew Ramey tell their dramatic story of that rescue.

Episode 12 - What Makes The Good Earth Great

Alix Litwack, long time employee at the Good Earth Food Company, talks about her radio show, what makes the store great, and how Brian can make his peanut butter and jelly sandwiches healthier. Brian also introduces two new segments to the show: "Where is Brian?" is kind of a "Where's Waldo?" except with audio and "Open Stage" featuring local talent.
