SEASON 2 / EPISODE 1 • REI(G)N It’s 2am. The middle of February. In the city you call home. The warehouse temperature rises as bodies pack the floor, seeking relief from the noise of the outside world. Red and blue lights blend together to form a beautiful yet hauntingly familiar combination. The rhythm of your heart climbs to 128 beats per minute. As the music begins to drown your thoughts, a single question cuts through the air. This is not an escape. It’s an acknowledgment. To tell you the truth, we can’t dance our way around reality; we gotta dance through it. Black queer pioneers in the underground music scenes of Detroit and Chicago filled spaces with sounds of confrontation and freedom. House and Techno were birthed to serve as an unapologetic symbol of defiance and revolution through innovation and joy. This is a tribute to the originators. A blend of two cities. Two sounds. One lineage. This is Tech House - mixed through my lens. We start our journey on the first day of the Year of the Fire Horse. That question? Now it’s accompanied by a declaration - delivered by two familiar voices. Then the flame is ignited, quickly and bluntly. There’s a rapid urgency; a horse racing through a fire. It builds toward a climax that earns the deep, soft, sensual valley that follows. But softness can be an illusion. The heat beneath it erupts in truth like a volcano. Stick to the path. Tighten the reins. Embrace the eruption. Feel the release. This is for all of us. A cathartic acknowledgement of our collective experience, meant to help us rise to meet the future we were promised. A future we refuse to surrender for temporary escape. It’s our time. Press play. Don’t look back. SEASON 1 / EPISODE 6 • DEANÉ 3:5 I’ve always viewed gospel as the most prolific genre of music to tell stories. Encouraging those listening—no matter who they are—to push through their own obstacles and embrace every part of their circumstances. Reminding them that they’re never alone. The harmonies, the intricacies, the soul, the freedom… all helping to move you through your feelings and release them. The initial idea was to conceptually reimagine gospel music. Break down the main themes and elements as I hear them. Find tracks that speak to me. Reinterpret the genre through soulful house classics, modern electronic beats, familiar vocals, and my own unique sound and perspective. My hope? Gospel’s primary intention: to connect deeper with myself and others through a shared experience. Another reminder that we’re never alone. The result is an hour-long anthemic celebration of how far we’ve all come, a sonically emotional rebirth in the midst of chaos, and a love letter to my own remarkable frequency; woven with sounds of gospel and house that encourage you to move your body and feel deeply. As you listen, I truly hope you’re able to feel and spread the good word: Love, embrace, and own every bit of your unique and beautiful story as the world continues to try to write it for you. SEASON 1 / EPISODE 5 • SOLSTICE It was the middle of June 2025. I was taking a walk with a friend on the day of summer solstice. I didn’t know a ton about the true definition of a solstice, but he encouraged me to take a moment to observe and welcome the shift that happens when the sun is at its highest point. Solstices represent transitions - serving as life’s checkpoints where the sun seems to pause for a brief moment in time, allowing us to take a moment to reflect on our journey and welcome in the bright light of our future. They invite us to slow down, come home to ourselves, and let our feelings speak. Rooted in my love for R&B and refined by beats of afro tech, this set speaks to the many transitions we go through in life and how the acceptance of change is not only essential - it’s sexy.
