Corporal Punishment & Gentle Parenting

In today's episode I talk about my distain for corporal punishment and how I go about using gentle/conscious parenting to raise my kids. I focus on a video that I saw which makes a joke out of abusing your kids for discipline and how this is harmful to the conscious parenting movement. Kids Need a Village Too - The Importance of Friendships

Welcome every one, new and returning! In today's episode I ruminate on my worries around the kind of village my children need in terms of meaningful friendships. Sparked by a conversation I had with a friend about playgroups, I realized that my soon to be school age son has no "real" friends yet, and that got me worried. What if he doesn't make friends in time? Why can't I work harder to create a village for myself filled with kids his age so he has more opportunities to make friends? Will he feel lonely forever?  All of these questions are valid. This Is Hard - A Love Letter to Myself

Today was a very hard day as is most days as a parent. I talk about all the mundane things, the really big important things, and the mentally depleting things in this episode. The Potty Training Struggle

In today's episode I talk about how hard it's been to potty train my first born. From figuring out when to start, what methods to use, and dealing with a LOT of setbacks, I go through it all!
