We're all great at thinking about what we SHOULD be doing. Oh, we SHOULD start a podcast. We SHOULD start advertising. We SHOULD host an event. There are so many shoulds that it's crippling. When we finally get going again we want to do too much because we've been shoulding all over ourselves for months so we want to make up for it. So we create and start executing on an elaborate and all consuming marketing plan. All the things! But then we fall off for a month. It's such a heavy lift to get the machine going again that we... never do. When I think about adding a new tactic into the strategy I always weigh the value to sustainability. Will it be easy to keep the thing going? If not, I will not add it in unless I'm hiring someone or an agency to do it for me. Full stop. In this episode we go over: 1.
