Oksana and Tina wrap up the first season of piano chat by talking about unique hot dog condiments, putting together 9 live-streamed concerts in 3 weeks, and the fond memories they have of American pianist Leon Fleisher, who recently passed away.

This week's episode features Bay Area-based pianist Elizabeth Dorman, and includes La Croix rankings, fashion faux pas, rubato in Bach and "drilling" at the piano.

"A work for piano and viola commissioned by Matthew Lipman in memory of his mother.  This work explores the beautiful and unexpectedly gruesome metamorphosis of a butterfly.  When compared to the grieving process, in all its stages, it made so much sense to me.  The story of emotional, physical loss and pain; the transition from something so excruciatingly difficult into the freedom that perhaps only acceptance can provide much of the suffering that takes place in the world in all its forms."

Tina and Oksana talk with Ghanaian American pianist William Chapman Nyaho as he talks about the piano music of Africa and the African Diaspora.

This week's episode goes through how Tina and Oksana met, the significance of a musician's early training, and features interviews with pianist Emely Phelps and violinist Hoorig Poochikian.
