Episode two of Clearly PR’s new podcast has arrived! On this episode, hosts Sadie and Vicki are joined by our Senior Account Executive Kara and Account Executive George to talk through brands that have used unpopular opinions in their advertising, as well as discussing their own. Should Pepsi have piggybacked on the #BlackLivesMatter movement the way they did? How misjudged was Burberry’s collection at the latest London Fashion Week? And is bacon actually not that great? All is revealed in episode two of PRoper Podcast, which can now be found on iTunes as well as the player below, and you can join in the conversation by tweeting us @PRoperPod.

We’ve got a brand new podcast! Every other week, Sadie and Vicki are going to be talking through trending topics in the realm of marketing, advertising and communications. Our aim is to chat PR without the BS. For our first week, Kara and Amy joined us to discuss Fyre Festival. Billy and the gang graced us with a lot of material to cover, but we focused on the use of influencer marketing, crisis comms and rebuilding your brand. There’s been a lot of discussion around influencer marketing following Fyre Festival, with several stakeholders saying that stunts like this signal the end of the phenomenon. However, one of the key takeaways from our discussion was that influencer marketing isn’t going anywhere – but the way we use it for best effect is changing. You can listen to this week’s episode of Proper Podcast below, and we’re working on getting it live on both iTunes and Spotify in the near future. Let us know what you think – and what we should cover next – by tweeting us @PRoperPod.
